Echocloud crawls the Soulseek P2P network to collect users' file lists, then uses collaborative filtering algorithms to calculate similarity scores between artists. You can search the database to get remarkably accurate (but therefore fairly predictable) recommendations. Currently indexes the data sets of almost 50,000 users (compared to Audioscrobbler's 6,000 so far).
