A thread on the Evidence-Based Libraries list discusses the benefits of Google over MEDLINE when searching for biomedical information [via Open Access News]. There are only really two main problems with PubMed, which are that it only produces results ranked reverse-chronologically, not by relevance, and that it doesn't allow true phrase searching. This situation is something that Google could easily resolve.
