iTunes podcasts

I'm enjoying iTunes' podcast features, for now. Not downloading anything automatically (that's what M3Ucast was for, but I found I wasn't listening to enough of the downloaded tracks to make it worthwhile), just using Playr's RSS bookmarklet on some MP3 blogs, subscribing in iTunes, then picking out tracks to listen to that look interesting (can we have some proper music licensing now please?). Playing podcasted videos in iTunes is nice too.

Update: Playr is now producing .pcast files for easy podcast subscription. It seems that iTunes' handling of these files is still a bit buggy though - they only work occasionally.

Update: Forget the .pcast files, it's easier to just use pcast:// links.

Quite interesting.

Though when I tried to give Playr a shot, the "Login" link pointed me to "Flickr: Page not found". What's up with that?

Flickr have changed the way their authentication API works. I'm going to take all that stuff out anyway, so just ignore it - you don't need to log in anyway.

the pcast:// doesn't seem to work under windows.
