Mechanical Turking

Tooled up with plenty of Greasemonkey and a server-side script, I had a go at the 'Enter the correct artist for the album' game at Amazon's Mechanical Turk and managed to do about 150-200 ($3-$4 worth) in an hour. I don't think anyone could do it much faster, unless they were just guessing (though I did occasionally get sidetracked opening tabs to download a few of the albums from eMusic), but that's still a reasonable amount to earn if you live somewhere not too expensive.

Yup, it's widely agreed in the turking community that the Musical Artist HITs are not worth the trouble. The real money's in the A9 image-matching HITs, give that a go and you'll like it. (and I think you meant client-side)

Not so much fun though, the image matching. I did actually mean server-side, but on my server not Amazon's.

you must have the slowest internet connection ever if you're only doing $4 in an hour. I'm averaging 9. pretty damn good if you ask me.

Only 9? I'm getting about 16...

Uh, I can do 912 in an hour. It's definitely worth $18/hr. Don't be dumb.
