unAPI link enabler for Greasemonkey

unAPI, the lightweight mechanism for retrieving objects—or their metadata—in different formats, reached version 1 a few weeks ago, and has been implemented in HubMed and other places already. While unAPI links are designed to be machine-usable, →this Greasemonkey script← makes them visible in the browser, showing all the different export formats available for an item. Try it on this page (click the unapi link to show the individual formats).

Xiaoming Liu made an earlier version of this script, and Dan Chudnov before that.

Update: now it's a drop-down menu.

I would love you forever if you gave the userscript a dropdown (I have 18(!) formats -- some are variants). I'd do it, but, alas, I have zero time at the moment (and for the foreseeable future).

In any case, thanks for the current script. It really shows the power of unAPI, IMHO.

Nice Alf. One little problem is that when I click on the unapi link a second time -- expecting it to then be hidden -- I get a second set of links.

Now that it's a drop-down menu it should hide and appear automatically.
