The beta2 version of Beryl was released this week. Beryl's already included in Knoppix, and will also be in the next release of Ubuntu (there's an unofficial repository for now).
Seems like a good time to repost my theme - in Emerald's theme manager you'll want to set double-clicking on title bars to maximise windows.

Hmm, nothing I do in Beryl seems to turn off window shading on titlebar double-click - I seem to recall there are two options, one in the general Beryl Options, another in the Emerald theme manager, neither seem to work for me.
The 'Titlebar Double-Click Action' setting in the 'Emerald Settings' tab of Emerald Themer works for me. Double-clicking (un)maximises and the scrollwheel still shades.
