Penguin have done a couple of excellent things lately:

First is the launch of We Tell Stories, a site produced by Six To Start (formerly of Mind Candy, makers of Perplex City), which uses Google Maps, blogs and Twitter (so far) to tell stories online.

The second is that they're giving away PDFs of the first chapters of all their new fiction for free as part of Penguin Tasters, which is a fantastic idea. It would be great if television makers followed suit.
