Pirates of the Amazon was a potentially useful hack: a Greasemonkey script, packaged as a Firefox extension, that searched thepiratebay.org in the background (the clever bit - there were lots of scripts for adding search links already) and added links from Amazon items to The Pirate Bay torrent files.
As an art project it was immensely successful; as a useful tool less so, because of the trademark infringement, incitement to copyright infringement and horrible javascript :-)
Here's a rewritten Greasemonkey script that recreates the functionality of Pirates of the Amazon, without any of the bad bits:

Excellent name. Works, too!
Quite a lot of GreaseMonkey scripts work in Opera too. This one didn't.
Then don't use Opera? Problem solved! =close support ticket=
Thanks! Works great!
Heh, I wasn't reporting it as an official issue - it wasn't made for opera - I was just saying.
And stop using Opera? Never!
Haha! I did the same thing but didn't bother encoding the image, just stuck some "Do not download from..." text in :)
Yay, ive been trying to get this script, after it was in the news, the website took down the download for the greasemonkey script, but now i can get the same goodness!
