macosxhints - Remove hidden core dump files to restore drive space
I ran OmniDiskSweeper to try and find out where all my disk space was going to. Turns out there's a hidden OS X folder (/cores) where core dumps can be stored for debugging. 8GB of them, in my case. Now to find out how to switch that off...
